Riley Goes Green
April 18th – April 21st

Although we shouldn’t take one week out of the year to celebrate our Earth, we do want to bring awareness of how we can help the Earth throughout the year! Riley’s Community Service Club, S.P.I.N. wants Riley to take steps to try and help our environment. Each day we will have a different activity or challenge for the students. With some small steps, we can learn how to better help the environment!

Tuesday, April 18th
Kick Off to Earth Week by Cleaning Up- Let’s all pledge to clean up garbage that you see outside today. You can help make our environment look and feel better!
Also, if you are crafty, bring in an art project made out of recyclable materials today to be displayed for all to see. Bring projects to Room 209.

Wednesday, April 19th
Garbage Free Lunch – Today students are challenged to bring their lunches to school creating as little garbage as possible. Ideas to reduce garbage include using reusable bags, reusable containers, and silverware instead of plasticware. Let’s see how much garbage we can eliminate just at lunchtime!

Thursday, April 20th
Walk or bike to school – Students are encouraged to walk or bike to school today to save energy and stay active at the same time!

Friday, April 21st
Green Day – To celebrate Earth Day which is April 22nd, each student should try to wear green and blue.
