Jessica Raiser has been named the new assistant principal for London Middle School. She joins the district from district from West Chicago Elementary School District 33, where she most recently served as assistant principal of Gary Elementary School.
The Community Consolidated School District 21 Board of Education on July 16 voted to appoint Jessica Raiser as the newest assistant principal for London Middle School for the 2026-27 school year.
Raiser will join Principal Anastasia Netzel and Assistant Principal Natalie Nicolasin as part of London’s expanded administrative team, continuing the district’s transition to a second assistant principal model at each middle school. The model, which began as a pilot at Holmes Middle School and expanded districtwide for the 2026-27 school year, provides additional leadership capacity to support students, staff and families.
Raiser joins the district from West Chicago Elementary School District 33, where she most recently served as assistant principal of Gary Elementary School.
District administrators said Raiser distinguished herself throughout the search process through her genuine passion for education and her thoughtful approach to supporting children. Her commitment to student success, inclusive practices and building strong relationships was evident throughout the interview process.
“I am thrilled to join District 21 and become part of a community that values relationships, collaboration, and the success of every student,” Raiser said. “I look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to create an environment where every child feels safe, welcomed, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.”
Raiser also brings valuable experience supporting students in special education, an area that will further strengthen London’s ability to provide personalized support for all learners. In addition, Raiser’s fluency in Spanish will enhance communication and engagement with London’s diverse school community, helping strengthen partnerships between the school and families.
“Jessica embodies the qualities we look for in our school leaders,” Superintendent Dr. Michael Connolly said. “She is a thoughtful, student-centered educator who leads with compassion, builds strong relationships and is deeply committed to helping every child succeed. We are excited to welcome her to London Middle School and know she will make a meaningful impact on our students, staff and families.”
